The band travelled extensively within the country, commonly performing on beaches, and other local places that attracted foreigners and the like for his daily bread.
During one of his many beach performances, he met his partner and friend, Nana Brobbey, who shared the same ideas and love of music.
They decided to combine their talents to produce the kind of cultural music they felt should be heard and enjoyed by everyone, both nationally and internationally.
Sydney and Nana later decided upon a name for their new group, calling it, BTB.
BTB means Big Time Bobos aka Believe The Bible. This name came about because Sydney’s nickname is Bobonajah and Nana’s nickname is Boboshanti.
They decided that since both their nicknames begin with Bobo then it is only appropriate that name of the group also have the name bobo thus BTB – Big Time Bobos.
